JQ 10/23/13
After reading the article in yesterday's Newsday state your position on Inbloom and the idea of posting academic information with a third party. Is this an invasion of your privacy? State your position and at least 4 supporting facts.
The Inbloom project I believe is a complete waste of government spending. The government is spending over $500 million dollars of our money to form this database with our personal information attached to it. Yes I do believe it is important for civilians and tax payers to see how the students in the district which they pay taxes are doing, but I believe there must be a best and more cost efficent way in doing so. Another problem I agree with is the problem with privacy of our personal information. The government is planning on giving our personal information to a third party business to make this database its not even directly linked to the federal government. I would not want to be one of the 400,000 long island students whose information gets taken down for inbloom, because once this database has some if your information it opens a gate fro other people to get more of your information and possibly get access to areas of our info which we dont want people in access of such as bank accounts, social security, etc. So overall I dont agree with the creation of this program and I think it is unnecessary and a big waste of government money which they really shouldnt be spending in the first place esspecially because of the governments current money situatuation now.
